Zodiac Saved the Day

Zodiac saved the day for this young single woman!!!! I had another company come out to look at my air conditioner and they said several parts were defective and the cost of replacing those parts would be as much as just buying a whole new unit (quoted $8,500)! Panicked at the price... I called Zodiac to get a second opinion and they came right out with within 10 minutes- replaced the only defective part (totaling $350) and my unit was up and running and I had no other problems! I'm so grateful for their service and for taking such good care of me!

We purchased two Carrier A/C -Heating units for our house. They lived up to all of the promises made during the sales process.

Appreciate the Honesty and Integrity of This Company

Sept 2019=I called Zodiac Heating & Air Conditioning to perform the optimization program thru LADWP. We knew our 30+year old system was not efficient. It had never broken down. But nothing last forever.

Although it was still working we knew the old system was not efficient. We decided to have total HVAC replacement with a 5 ton Carrier Infinity Series, new furnace was relocated in the attic, new ducting, and 19 seer air variable speed air conditioning. We also added 3 zones to adjust the temperatures in different parts of our home. The system is super quiet!!! We've gone high tech. We can adjust the temperatures via our cell phone The Zodiac staff were excellent!!! Very professional and they know what they are doing. Each day Avi, Henry, and Miguel, left our house and yard clean. We also appreciated that none of them smoked. Vic, the owner visited frequently during the installation. He was very easy to talked to. Bella in the office is really great. She was always ready to answer our questions.

Sept 2020= OMG, we've had record summer temperatures at 120 degrees! Our home was super comfortable!!! We got a card in the mail to sign up for the annual maintenance. Twice a year for $185. Of course we signed up for it. A week ago it was nice to see a familiar face, Saul perform the maintenance, changed filters, checked temp. He was the tech who came a year ago and performed the LADWP optimization. We had pavers installed and the condenser was full of dust. Saul washed the condenser and cleaned the coils.

We appreciate the honesty and integrity of this company. We are lucky to have found this company. Looking forward to a long term relationship. Highly recommend.

Everything Has Been Handled Flawlessly

Zodiac is five-star all the way and we couldn't be happier:

*It started with the estimating process. The owner, Vic, was infinitely patient with all our questions, and provided multiple options for the Carrier A/C and heating units. Equally important, he was terrific at explaining, in simple layman's terms, the differences in the various levels, so we could make an informed decision about which models to choose.

*Next, pricing (we all care about that, right?). Well, Carrier is a premium-priced company, so we were prepared that we'd be paying more than what a mid-grade unit would cost. Zodiac's pricing was very competitive for both the HVAC system and new duct work we needed, and they even threw in some extra work we needed at no additional cost.

*Third, the installation. We'd been quoted that the job would take three days, but Vic and his brother Ed were able to get an extra crew to show up on day two, so the whole process only took two days. Beyond speed, let's talk care: the guys were great about laying down tarps, draping plastic, wearing booties, etc. to minimize the amount of dirt and dust caused by the installation. And where they had to cut into our wall, they were careful enough when they finished that we avoided any drywall repairs or paint touchups.

*Fourth, problem resolution. As the saying goes, "stuff happens." There were a couple of minor issues along the way that became our "punch list" for the end of the job. You can really judge the character of a company by how they treat you when you have something that's not quite right. Avi (the crew chief) and his team were terrific, readily acknowledging the need to fix these things and doing so quickly.

*Fifth, post-installation follow-up. Zodiac has been just as stellar in the period following our install. Whether it was answering questions about our fancy new wifi thermostat, scheduling the third-party inspector to test for leaks in the system, or explaining how to apply for a city rebate on the unit, everything has been handled flawlessly.

So in summary, five great areas that merit a five-star review. If you're serious about going with the very best in air conditioning, go with Carrier. And if you're serious about going with the very best Carrier dealer in Los Angeles, hands down choose Zodiac. We were so taken with their quality that we've already signed up for their semi-annual Maintenance Member program, to enjoy their flawless service for years to come!

The Best Company to Work With

This is the best company to work with. They return calls, call before arriving, arrive on time, the technicians are polite, they clean up after themselves and are completely trustworthy. And yes, they know heating and AC really well.

I have been a Zodiac customer for over 20 years and they have sold and installed systems in two houses for me (all new ducts and equipment). They have always given good advice and the few times we have needed service, they have been able to help us quickly.

Why am I writing now? It's been in triple digits and DWP nuked our system with repeatedly turning the power on and off (add a surge protector!). Zodiac responded quickly, diagnosed the problem, had the part delivered over night and replaced it first thing the next morning. The technician checked to make sure there weren't any other problems and let it run for a while to check it again before leaving.

Lucky To Have Found This Company

We had our HVAC system replaced Sept 2019. I found them via the LADWP Optimization program. We had a 30+ year old unit that was a work horse. Never broke down, but we knew it was not efficient. We replaced with Carrier Infinity Series including new ducts and relocation of furnace in the attic. We also opted to include 3 zones and 3 vents and registers to the bathrooms. Very quiet system.

We've had a full year of heating and cooling. What a difference a year makes! No issues so far. We've had record extreme temperatures just a few weeks ago. Our home was so comfortable. We love that we can control temp, schedule away/vacation mode on our cell phones.

Very happy with this company. The employees are professional and they know what they're doing. Saul, Avi, Henry, and Miguel were great! Bella in the office is always helpful. Vic, the owner would come and visit the worksite.

I recently purchased the annual maintenance. Last week to our delight, Saul came to perform the maintenance. He was the one who came to do the do the LADWP optimization. We like him because he explains what he is doing. He changed the filters, checked the temp, washed the condenser and coils (we had pavers installed and a lot of dust covered the condenser).

We are lucky to have found this company.

Good Solid Job Throughout

Great service! I've been disappointed by contractors over and over the last 3 years, but these guys are changing my mind.

Vic was quick to come for the quote. Got back to me with numbers in a day or so. New tariff issues make it difficult to obtain standard equipment, but these guys were able to work it out quickly.

The delivery and installation was professional and on-time. Three guys working to install a ductless mini-split system took less than the full day.

Clean up was great. Usually, the contractors leave stuff everywhere, or fill my trash can with their junk. These guys took all the packaging, old equipment and personal stuff away for disposal.

Advice Was Spot On and Made Sense

Zodiac Heating & A/C is a company with great service both in the office when you call to make an appointment and when the service technician comes to take care of the equipment. I have a Carrier that was experiencing some problems about 5 years ago. Vic (the owner) came to diagnose the problem after I had spoken to several other companies and wasn't liking what I heard. His advice was spot on and made sense. His technician did the work, and I haven't had a problem since then. Now I have Zodiac service my heat pump twice a year - spring and fall. The same technician comes, and that's great because he knows the history of the unit. I would highly recommend Zodiac.

Higher Energy Efficient Home for the Right Price

I had multiple quotes done in the past and called these guys on a last minute referral. Glad I did. I was ready to compromise on the equipment for a lesser known off brand unit to save some money. Can't say enough good things about Zodiac! I highly recommend them and am so grateful for the service they gave us. We Couldn’t Be Happier!

We have a large 2 story house with 2 air conditioners/heaters (one upstairs/one downstairs). The first time we called Zodiac, they quickly diagnosed and fixed an on going problem with our upstairs unit that our previous repairman couldn't fix. About a year later, our antique heater/fan downstairs went out. Vic came out and gave us numerous replacement options to pick from low end to high end and he very patiently answered all my questions. We replaced the heater/fan and it works great! This year our downstairs condenser went out (after over 20 years of constant use). Again, Vic went over all the options, and we had a new system up and running in no time. Yesterday, we thought our new system broke down. It was soooooo hot and I called Vic in a panic. He came right over to fix it. It turned out to be a faulty thermostat. He temporarily wired the air conditioner to run without the thermostat so that the house would start cooling down, while he when to get a new one. He came back, replaced the thermostat, and that was that. "No charge, it's under warranty!" We couldn't be happier! Some of our friends who live in our neighborhood have been having lots of problems with their air conditioners and all I say to them is, you should try Zodiac! They are great!

House Went From Sweltering Hot To Nice and Breezy

Our upstairs A/C unit decided to die last month, smack dab in the middle of another So Cal heat wave. Zodiac came out and replaced our dead unit with a more energy efficient unit, replaced all the ductwork (some of it was just plain old and original to the 40-year old house), added another return and a new thermostat. In one day, our house went from sweltering hot to nice and breezy. They worked fast. They were nice. They were priced just right. They helped us with energy efficiency credit paperwork.
